REVIEW: Venom #1

I was a little skeptical about this series because I (and I think I can speak for many) was so used to the symbiote being bonded to Eddie Brock. I was so used to the traditional chracteristics that David Michelinie and Todd McFarlane presented us with over the years. I didn't know how Venom #1 would turn out with Flash Thompson as Venom, but I must say it looks like it's working. Rick Remender did an awsome job bringing us into this extreme situation, which you will find out about right off the bat. I'm not going to spoil it but reading this will show you alot of what Flash has to deal with, given his new task as Agent Venom and also how he has to control his anger so that the symbiote does not become attached to him permanently. I honestly think that it's a great spin on the traditional Venom stories we're all so used to. Tony Moore definitely did his thing on the artwork which is superb and compliments the story very well. This is definitely an adventure filled read, very fast paced and it starts as soon as you read the first panel. This storyline could go in so many directions and I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens next! Great read overall, I strongly suggest you cop this issue! Venom #1 could without a doubt GEEK IT!!!!
